Violino Series DPSS Nd:YVO4 OEM Laser Sources
Laservall's VIOLINO™ series laser is a diode pumped Nd:YAG laser source, renowned worldwide in industry for laser marking and engraving applications. Over 1,000 units are in operation worldwide.
The VIOLINO™ series of lasers has been designed using Laservall's innovative DPSS laser architecture, bringing many benefits over traditional laser technology.
Coupling the laser diode pump module to the optical bench of laser the resonator via fiber optic cable allows the module to be factory sealed and operated remotely from the laser head (also sealed). This greatly facilitates and simplifies maintenance since diode replacement becomes a plug and play operation without the need to realign the laser, risk exposing laser optics to the elements, etc.
Distancing the diode pump from the optical bench of the laser resonator facilitates diode heat dissipation which can be adequately achieved through a thermo-electric process, totally eliminating the need for circulating liquid coolants.
The efficiency of the VIOLINO™ is unparalleled. Laservall's patented refractive micro-optic coupling device permits 75% of the diode power output to be focused into the fiber optic. Optical efficiency conversion of pump light to laser light through the resonator is an incredible 50% due to precise end-pumping of the diode light into the laser head. A direct consequence of such high efficiency, aside from the simplicity of cooling the laser, is the substantial reduction in electrical consumption of the VIOLINO™ series laser to a few hundred watts.
The bellow-shaped structure that houses our sealed resonator offers perfect heat exchange with the surrounding environment, further reducing the risk of laser overheating.
With average diode pump life of 10,000 working hours, the VIOLINO™ laser source is virtually maintenance free until the diode pump is replaced. Even then, the diode pumping module is replaced simply by disconnecting and reconnecting to the optical fiber, without opening the resonator or re-aligning optics.
Traditional lamp pumped sources (with 3% optical efficiency) and other types of diode pumped sources which use traditional laser architectures (e.g. side pumping) simply cannot compare to the VIOLINO™ series laser in terms of efficiency, reliability, beam quality or ease of maintenance.
The VIOLINO™ laser's small footprint, ease of installation and system integration, high reliability, and sealed components are some of the factors that make the VIOLINO™ ideally suited for unmanned automatic production lines.
